Description: Aww, small animals are so cute! Check out this adorable list of the worlds tiniest little animals! Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr6 - Speckled Padloper Tortoise Also known as the speckled cape tortoise is the world's tiniest turtle, you can find them inside South Africa. These little critters usually measure between six to ten centimeters in length and weigh around 95 to 165 grams. These little guys are most active in early mornings and live in rocky terrain usually feeding on small succulents which grow in between the rocks. Their babies are usually born under seven grams and are only 30 millimeters long, the hatchlings emerge from their shells between 100 and 120 days. 5 - Spaghetti SnakeThis charming reptilian can most commonly be located inside the Caribbean Islands native to Barbados and are said to be about as thick as a spaghetti noodle, hence their super cute namesake. This tiny member of the snake species called the blind threadsnake, they usually only grow to be about four inches in length and coil easily onto the width of an American quarter. The biologist who discovered this adorable reptile was S. Blair Hedges of the Pennsylvania State University who unearthed the tiny find from the soil of Barbados where they burrow in the forest dirt for their favourite meal, insect larvae. Though these snakes are blind, teeny tiny and lay just one egg at a time, they have managed to survive in the harsh wilderness of Barbados forests, proving once and for all that big things really do come in small packages. 4 - The Philippine Tarsier These little guys are some of the world's smallest primates, they are known for being jittery and shy. These marvels of the modern world have grey fur and have a nearly naked tail, head and body length only stretch to about 115 to 150 millimeters and weigh an approximate 110 to 145 grams. These Philippine-born critters are best characterised by their gigantic eyes, slender legs and fingers and jumping prowess, they can hop up to twenty whole feet, which is pretty darn impressive for such little guys. These miniature Tarsiers also have a very distinct neck, they have specially evolved vertebrates which allow them to turn their heads to nearly 180 degrees, making for the cutest exorcist movie ever! 3 - Denise's Pygmy SeahorseLook carefully, can you spot the little adorable horse of the sea? This adorable little miniature seahorse can be found in the Pacific ocean, most commonly on the Western side, they are sometimes referred to as the yellow pygmy seahorse with a standard tiny size of around two and a half centimeters. These teeny-weeny creatures have short snouts, slender smooth bodies and a prehensile tail. These little darlings are most commonly found at depths between 13 and 100 meters below sea level usually hidden inside fields of sea fans. The male is the one who gets pregnant and broods the eggs inside its ventral brood pouch and utilises adaptive camouflage, changing it's color from yellow, to orange and sometimes to pink in order to remain not eaten by predators. 2 - Dwarf Three-Toed JerboaThis amazing tiny wonder is hailed as the smallest rodent in the world and also, the cutest. This teeny weeny rodent grows to be an average of about 1 and a half inches in head and body length with the tail stretching an approximate 3 inches, these adorable critters usually weigh around 3.75 grams. These critters can be found in Pakistan and Afghanistan frequenting sand dunes, gravel flats and sandy plains in hot deserts. These cute little guys are best known for their long hops and magnificent balance thanks to their long tails. These cute fellas tend to live inside burrows under small bushes and feed on wind blown seeds and scattered leaves. 1 - Pygmy Mouse LemurGet ready for an absolute cuteness overload ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to the world's smallest species of lemur, the pygmy mouse lemur. This adorable little guy is only approximately five inches long and weighs a microscopic two ounces. These tiny little adorable creatures were discovered in the year of 1993 along the forested areas of Madagascar, These nocturnal primates prefer deciduous forests and are usually brown and white in color, they have long tails which they use to hang from trees and look even more adorable than usual. Oh man, just look at this one, he's sticking out his tongue, ah! So cute!

These deep sea mysteries have been solved, but some underwater events, can still be unexplained; these are 11 EXPLAINED Ocean Phenomena Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr 5. Milky Sea But it turns out that they’re not the stuff of legends--the milky sea phenomenon is very real and we’re pretty sure we know what causes it. Satellite data confirmed a milky sea reported in 1995 on the Indian Ocean. They had their theories on what it might be, but they turned to water samples from another milky sea event in 1985. They found the samples were filled with a bacteria called Vibrio harveyi. This bacteria can gather in the billions to create the effect and they are known for their very slight bioluminescence, which attracts fish which eat the bacteria and give them a home in their digestive systems. So, we understand the how; the only mystery left now is why these bacteria congregate in such huge numbers. 4. The Starfish In the years before the mysterious beached whales in Alaska, there was another mysterious unusual mortality event concerning starfish. It was first documented in 2013, when sea stars were found with lesions on their body which ultimately led to, for lack of a better word, their bodies melting into the sea. And, like the whales, no one could figure out why the starfish were perishing at such an unprecedented rate. It wasn’t long before theories came out connecting the then-called “wasting syndrome” to the Fukushima nuclear meltdown. Finally, after tireless research, scientists were able to pinpoint the cause of the wasting syndrome: sea star associated densovirus. According to microbiologist Ian Hewson, a single drop of ocean water contains 10 million viruses, so finding the densovirus was not an easy task. Although the exact cause of the outbreak is not yet know, it is believed to be linked to warming ocean temperatures. 3. Underwater Crop Circles First spotted in 1995 off the coast of Japan, these so-called “underwater crop circles” caught the attention of many people worldwide, including conspiracy theorists, paranormal investigators, extraterrestrial investigators and scientists. They were large formations in the sand beneath the waves, approximately 2 meters (7 feet) in diameter and were remarkably symmetrical. For a long time, no one could come up with an explanation for the beautiful patterns, so imaginations went wild. Was it aliens, perhaps? About a decade later, Japanese marine biologists came up with the real culprit--and they’re definitely not aliens. Instead, these circles are being created by a species of pufferfish, who use the designs to draw in potential mates. The male pufferfish create the symmetrical mounds and decorate them with shells. If the female pufferfish likes what she sees when she comes to inspect the design, she’ll lay her eggs. So, the crop circles aren’t mysterious anymore, but they are a heartwarming example of how romantic fish can be. 2. Green Flash There’s probably a Great Gatsby joke to be made here, but we’ll just get right into the good stuff. Green flashes occur on the horizon generally at sunset, if you’re looking out onto the ocean, but they sometimes occur at sunrise. Seeing one for the first time would probably be a little jarring--it’s a bright, almost neon green, that is completely out of place in the scene. And it lasts only a second, so if you asked anyone else if they saw it, chances are they didn’t. Are you going crazy? Is it something supernatural? Sorry, but no. The green flash can be explained pretty simply. As the sun dips below the horizon, the atmosphere acts like a prism that refracts the light thrown off by the sun, separating it into all of its different colors. Green is most commonly the color seen, but sometimes blue or violet light makes it through the atmosphere to create a blue or violet flash. Bermuda Triangle Did you really think you’d get through an ocean phenomenon video without a look at the Bermuda Triangle? We can’t say it’s explained, it’s still a hotbed of debate and less-than-scientific theories, but there is a new theory being proposed that’s worth looking into. Undeniably, a lot of ships and planes and people go missing in this area and researchers in the US say they might have an explanation. Clouds. You got it, hexagonal clouds might be the culprit. The theory is that these clouds can cause dangerously high winds that can cause massive waves in the ocean below them. Other meteorologists say this claim is unfounded and even more say that the percentage of crafts lost in the Triangle is statistically insignificant. So, is it weather? Is it alien abductions? Or is it...nothing?

Inventions are one of the main factors that set humans apart from most other animals, and the continuing evolution of those inventions are what propel humanity into the future. But today, we’re not talking about rocket science and time machines. We’re going to talk about some of the weirdest things man has made the past couple decades. Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr 7. Licki Brush This is for any cat lovers out there who want to take their love to the next level. Actually, this is probably the least creepy way to do that. The Licki Brush was designed to mimic the way animals like cats interact with each other for a more intimate experience. As demonstrated by this cat and the cat’s owner, the silicone brush goes in your mouth and you use it to, well, lick seems like the wrong word even though that’s pretty much what you’re doing. Reviews aren’t in such high favor of the brush, saying it’s more difficult to use than it looks. Though if you watch videos of people trying out the product, lots of the cats don’t seem to mind. 6. Rolling Bench Lots of people like to step outdoors right after a rainfall when the air is fresh. The problem with taking a stroll in the street or park after rain is that there’s nowhere for you to sit. Seems like someone already thought of a solution to this with their rolling benches. Designed by Sungwoo Park, The slats on the bench all rotate, which means the dry part of the bench is accessible for you to sit on once you turn the handle. 5. Metal Detecting Sandals No need to look super conspicuous when you’re out metal detecting on the beach. Be discrete as you look for valuables that have been submerged into the dirt, though sorry to say you can’t be stylish, too. There’s a copper coil that’s incorporated into the right sandal. Comfort is a big factor in the design of these sandals, too, as the footbeds are made of polyurethane foam and soles are non skid. The metal detector is battery packed, which is what you see strapped around the leg. The battery lasts for about six hours, which is enough time if you’re out in the sun. The magnetic field is able to detect metal as deep as 2 ft and will let you know if you found something with either a buzz or with a small flashing red light. See? Discrete. 4. Hamster Powered Paper Shredder It seems a bit cute and a bit ridiculous, but can we all agree that this just might be where the future is headed? Hamsters love to run on their wheels, and while you don’t necessarily love shredding paper, it’s a necessity all the same. Keep your hamster fit and all your personal documents shredded with this concept design by Tom Ballhatchet. 3. Synthetic Human Mouth That looks disturbing, but honestly, it’s weird but not that weird. This is a synthetic human mouth, created by scientists and engineers cased at Kagawa University in Japan. They designed it to be able to produce sounds that sound eerily just like a human. All the noises are made through its fleshy windpipe and mechanic vocal chords. To make it even more complete, a nasal cavity was built into the design to make it even closer to the way our sound is affected by it. Unlike other devices that try to mimic human sound, this one is not at all digital and has no program built into it to do so. There’s even lips on it that move like ours, since it’s a significant feature that helps us pronounce. 2. Toilet Seat Scale Admit it, you’ve wanted to know how much you weigh after going number 2 in the bathroom. No shame, it’s something enough people wonder about since that curious idea was the reason for the invention of the toilet seat scale. The built in scale weighs you as you sit on it--pretty straightforward enough. And when you’ve taken a dump, well, that little digital counter on the side lets you know just how much weight you lost after the fact. While this is still a concept design, it’s something that’s made enough splash. No pun intended. Hushme It’s like Cyclops and Bane (Tom Hardy Edition) had a baby with a pretty lame superhero, villain name. Though it doesn’t look comfortable per se, it was designed to make the environment around you, mainly busy office, much quieter. With the Hushme, you would be able to take your phonecalls quietly and in much more privacy without leaving your desk. The cushioned pads muffle your voice, and they kind of look like headsets over your mouth. There’s even an earphone featured so that you can listen to your calls. And though it might look terrifying walking into an office full of people wearing these things, at least it’s silent for the most part. Wait...that sounds creepy, too.
